Hello!
This is the beginning of three posts dedicated to the spanish music. I will talk about the music that we listen and the music that we create.
In this post, we will focus on pop music, that is the most popular in Spain.
Firstly, I will enumerate some international pop groups that we are listening now on the radio. Some of them are: Rihanna, Kate Perry, Beyonce, Duffy, The Fray or Coldplay.
International music is very popular in Spain, but we can be proud of our music. I am going to highlight the most important, but if you want to know more, send me an email!
Important singers
Joaquín Sabina
He is the spanish Bob Dylan. He was born in 1949, and he was very successful in the 80's and 90's. "19 días y 500 noches" or "Fisica o Quimica" are his best LP's.
This is my favourite song, it is called "El blues de lo que pasa en mi escalera".
Alejandro Sanz
He is younger than Joaquin Sabina, and he has sold 21.000.000 copyes. He is very well-known in the south of America.
His best album is called "Mas". The song "Amiga mía" (included in this cd) was 40 weeks in the top.
Groups
El Canto del Loco
This is the typical group that has a lot of fans between 12 and 17 years. They have three nominations in the MTV Europe Music Awards, and they have won two.
Their most famoust LP is "Zapatillas"
Their videos can´t be embedded, so here you have the links:

Pereza
They create better music than El Canto del Loco, and they are very successful too. Their music is closer to pop-rock, and their best cd is "Animales".
Fito & Fitipaldis
It's my favourite pop group. They compose great pop-rock. Their lyrics are beautiful, and they offer spectacular live concerts. My favourite cd's are "Los sueños locos" and "Lo más lejos a tu lado".
Fito & Fitipaldis has many fans of all ages, they are very popular!
La oreja de Van gogh, Nena Daconte, Despistaos or Melon Diesel are other important pop-rock groups. You can search them in youtube and watch their videoclips!
See you soon
